Banga Soup (Ofe Akwu) Recipe














This is one of my best Soup which i love cooking all time... It is best cooked by an Anambra woman, and i believe you love the soup to, alright we are going to guide you through on how to prepare the delicious, just follow this simple steps....

INGREDIENTS YOU NEED:
  • 1 Medium size of Smoked Fish
  • Fish
  • Palm Nut and Banger
  • 2 Table spoon of Crayfish
  • 1 Big Onion
  • Salt to Taste
  • 2 Cube of Maggi
  • 1 Table spoon Dried Pepper
  • Green Vegetable and Water
 Once you have all the ingredients listed above, you are now ready to start your cooking, just follow the direction underneath...

So let's start...

HOW TO COOK:
  1. Wash the meat thoroughly, put on the pot, add onions, small salt and pepper, add the washed stock fish and smoked fish, then boil for some minutes.
  2. Place the palm nut in another pot and boil to become soft.
  3. Now pound the palm nut in a mortar, extract the oil from the fiber.
  4. Add the extracted oil to the boiled meat, fish and stock fish.
  5. Now add crayfish, pepper, salt, Maggi and cook for 30 minutes
  6. Finally add the green vegetable, allow to boil for more 5 minutes.
  7. Now you are done. Serve!
