Ofe Owerri Soup Recipe



















This is a special soup for people in owerri, there is a proverb that says, "if you don't have money, you can not eat owerri soup" Hahahahaa! well sure the soup is kinda costly to prepare, but you deserve to know how to cook it....

follow the drills here and get things done...

INGREDIENTS YOU NEED:
  • Cocoyam desired quantity
  • Uziza leaf small quantity
  • 1 Medium size of ukazi leaf
  • Meat (Assorted)
  • 1 Medium size of dried fish
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Medium size of stock fish
  • 2 Maggi cubes
  • 6 Medium pieces of snail
  • 1 tablespoon of pepper (Grounded)
  • 2 cooking spoon of palm oil
Yeah! sure, that's the requirements, just put on the light and start the cooking...
HOW TO COOK:
  1. Wash the meat, dried fish, stock fish and put in a pot.
  2. Spicy with salt, pepper, maggi and cook for about 20 minutes.
  3. Cook the cocoyam and pound with mortar.
  4. Add palm oil and the seasoned meat and cook for about 30 minutes.
  5. Stir, then add the ukazi and uziza leaf.
  6. Adjust the seasoning and cook for about 30 minutes then remove from fire.
  7. You can serve with pounded yam, garri or fufu.
